Return Visit of Richard Noble & Bloodhound SSC

26th June 2010.

 

This project came about as a result of Lord Drayson, the Defence Minister, asking Richard Noble and Andy Green to come up with an iconic project to inspire our schoolchildren to become more involved with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Although no money was forthcoming from the Minister for the project, he did manage to get them two Eurofighter Jet Engines!  Further information on the project can be found on the Bloodhound SSC website:  www.bloodhoundssc.com/

 

The building of the car is entirely dependent on sponsorship and voluntary funding. Richard accepted our invitation to return to Hill House School on Saturday 26th June 2010 and the event grossed £1383 for the project. A very satisfactory result.
