This was a very welcome special event and very well attended. Norman entertained us with tales from his 33 year career as chief development engineer and tester, Le Mans racer and record breaker at Jaguar.
50 years ago, in 1961, the E-Type was launched at the Geneva Salon and Norman had been responsible for its development and testing before demonstrating it to the world’s press at that Show.
After a short interval he answered questions from the floor and he signed copies of his new biography, written with Paul Skilleter.
He was accompanied by Graham Searle, JEC General Manager.
