With the country covered by snow and ice and calls to make ‘essential journeys only’, we wondered whether numbers attending our annual dinner might be down, but most arrived despite well sub zero temperatures and freezing fog, a record number this year.
Arties Mill is now run by its staff and no longer part of an impersonal hotel group. The food was as usual excellent and the service friendly and efficient.
Our evening started with a table quiz set by Richard, and after the meal Nigel Thorley drew our well supported raffle.
A fine end to a very active season!
