CHRISTMAS DINNER 2012

Another record number, smiling faces, laughter and a  pervading feeling of friendship and bonhomie, showed that despite a cold night outside and the continuing climate of economic and political doom and gloom, our members and guests were there to enjoy themselves as they settled around the tables at our annual dinner. Arties did not disappoint, Suzanne and staff serving their usual ample carvery of festive fare finished off by warm mince pies and cheese.

It was good that our technical guru and founder director Ken Jenkins was able to join us this year, and he drew the large and varied raffle which followed, offering prizes from wine and boxes of sumptuous chocolates to winter formula windscreen washer fluid.

A good chat finished off a splendid evening,  many (mostly ladies) asking what was planned for the 2012 programme  - we must be doing something  right.

The room was slow to clear, always a good sign, but beds finally beckoned, the last few lingering until after 11pm.
